Located in the backstreets of Kathmandu Maiti Nepal is an organisation set up by Anuradha Koirala, CNN Hero of the Year 2010. The organisation provides refuge and help to woman who are victims of the sex trafficking trade and a happy home and education to hundreds of children.
Josette and Francoise (Momo and Chowmein), my friends from Quebec were going to Maiti Nepal to do a circus show for the children and adults. I went along as well to see the show, meet the children and take photographs.
It was a wonderful day for all involved and here is a small selection of the photographs:
